Today was dedicated to honoring the birthday of my cousin Sandi. All of her students at JFK high school were wearing pink to remember her wherever they went today. I did the same.

It's feeling like winter again. I came home from school and put on sweatpants and a sweatshirt and grabbed some hot tea. Where did May go?

What a day... ran a mile after school in gym make-ups. Then had dance class from 4:30-8:30. And now it's 9:25 and I have to start my homework

These are the shoes I'm wearing to prom. They make me feel like a princess, but they also make me feel like a powerful, superwoman, who doesn't let anything get in her way. They make me feel risque - like I could walk around singing the "Cell Block Tango" from Chicago without a care in the world:

It's amazing the way different shoes can effect the way you feel, the way you talk, walk, think. Part of me feels like going to a ball in those shoes and finding my prince, but I also can't help wondering what it would feel like to kick some jerk in the shins with those babies.

Sometimes, maybe it's better to keep my mouth shut in order to maintain the peace that's been established. With so little time left, keeping the peace is really important. We don't have time to fight. It's as simple as that.

I had two dance classes tonight - 4 hours of dancing. And I'm still sore from Saturday's intense classes. Oh the life of a dancer. I love it.
